Ty with an early takedown to lead 2-0. Escape allowed, and another takedown for Walter to go up 4-1. Walter takes bottom to start the second and escapes with another quick takedown to go up 7-1 with :42 left in the second period. Walter riding parallel with a leg ride and a stall warning given to Walter of Mifflinburg. Mifflinburg coach calls official to the head table to argue the stall call. With :30 into the third period, Walter reverses Caggiano to go up 9-1. Again riding with both boots laced, the ref calls Walter for potentially dangerous and brings them to the center for a fresh start. Caggiano is getting frustrated, as he gives Walter a big push out of bounds after the whistle. Walter gets in on an ankle as time runs out to win 9-4, keeping his hopes alive for his chances of a state medal (as he will continue to work his way back through the always-tough consolations).
